Hello Pickle

Absolutely amazing 10/10 !!!! Tried their Chicken/Cranberry pie last time and “Wow”. Been waiting 6 months for the opportunity to travel to Whangarei again and try their “Smokod Brisket, Jalapeño & Cheese” pie I travel around for my work and I’ve had a few award winning pies but I must say this pie tops the list. The pastry is so good, nicely pull beef, gravy and a generous amount of cheese and jalapeños … FANTASTIC !!!! Ended up buying another 2 more for my daughters to experience. An award winner for me A++++

Stopped by for a Saturday morning pie, had the mushroom and brisket, and the jalapeno and brisket and both were stunning. Super friendly staff too. If you love pies ya gotta visit hello pickle

NO EXAGGERATION, BEST PIES IN NZ! My husband and I have been travelling around the south and north island, getting pies everyday from different places. On our second last day we visited Hello Pickle and have officially had the best pie in NZ. We were only going to get two pies but the selection was so insanely good we ended up getting four! A bonus is the coffee was delicious and the staff are so wonderful. Thank you! Can't wait to visit NZ again and we'll see you then.

Wonderful people and yes…..just like all of the previous reviews, the best pies around. I thought I had fantastic pies up until now but unfortunately now I can’t think of anything else. Absolutely gorgeous and delicious. The Brisket jalapeño and cheese pie was just phenomenal….. I almost want to recommend not to come here in order to give other pies a fighting chance….

A package deal purchasing Hello Pickle pies. A couple of bright round tables with a couple of chairs sit either side of the front window displaying exquisite pies, tasty combination sandwiches and delicious sweet morsels. The ladies serving were welcoming and passionate about the food we asked about. I had a chicken, brie with cranberry pie while my 'partner of sniffing out a good pie', chose a beef, mushroom with sour cream pie. A buttery short pastry base with a Flaky pastry topped a very delicious filling, overflowing with the goodies we had chosen. The pie held its shape until the final morsel was eaten. Beautiful. Takes pies to a different level. Pies are between $9-14 each as a meal on their own. Each pie has been made with the same passion as the ladies serving and us eating them. Our Coffees did not disappoint either. Such an enjoyable experience as we sat outside at our table chatting to other customers with a pallette for a perfect pie.

Red wine, smoked brisket and blue cheese pie was devine. The service was excellent as well. Guy making the coffee genuinely seemed like he was happy to see us. Coffee was very good.

Hard to know which is the best part, the coffee or the friendly service. Best Long Black in Whangarei. A real bright start to your day. I haven't tried the food, but there's loads of vegetarian options and it all looks great.

I'm gutted to say that it has taken me until today to try one of your pies. We bought the roast lamb and chicken & cranberry pies and WOW! The best pie I have ever had. Yes they're more expensive than other places but you can taste the quality ingredients and that pastry, was melt in your mouth delicious! Thanks Jess and your team, we will most definitely be back (no pictures of our pies as they didn't last long enough after the first bite to take one)
